Jade, the
Horse Trainer!
A Training Tip from Jade
<grin>

 |
Teach the horse to lead calmly, following the light cue and
responding to the human (of any size), even when you're not holding the lead rope
correctly. If the horse steps on the dragging lead rope, the horse should stop and stand
quietly. The horse should remain a safe distance from toddlers and other handlers,
particularly those who forgot to wear their boots. |
| This was
Jade Training Final Test day for DJ,
and the mare graduated with an A+. |
| Always remember to reward the horse for good behavior.
One option is a patented Jade NoseKiss(tm). |

(I'd show you how well DJ can cut a cow, ride in the
mountains and parades and other stuff, but after Jade Training she went to live with
someone else. I wish Mom and Grandma would stop selling my favorite horses after I have
them well trained!) |
